The 2008 Comprehensive Mobility Plan (CMP) was a joint effort of the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), the El Paso Metropolitan Planning Organization (EPMPO), the City of El Paso (City) and the Camino Real Regional Mobility Authority (CRRMA). Approximately $1 billion of transportation projects to be pursued in the coming years were identified. The 2008 CMP includes four main types of projects: (i) standard roadway projects; (ii) aesthetic improvements to the I-10 corridor; (iii) bus rapid transit projects; and (iv) proposed toll projects. Of the fifteen projects identified within the 2008 CMP, the CRRMA was involved in eight, which include roadway, aesthetic and proposed toll projects. The individual CRRMA projects and their funding sources are more fully described in their respective project pages on this site.
